The recent increase in the rate of hardware failures in data centers high in sulfur-bearing gases highlights the importance of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). Data Clean Asia now offers analysis of Radiello passive diffusive air samplers that will help data centers maintain high reliability of the IT equipment.

Passive diffusive sampling relies on the diffusion of analytes through a diffusive surface onto a sorbent media. Passive diffusive air sampling can yield qualitative & quantitative information for many individual compounds (such as Aldehydes, SO2, H2S, NO2, Cl, HCl, Ozone, Ammonia) and chemical classes (such as Volatile Organic Compounds).

Radiello samplers would be analyzed in air-testing laboratory in Simi Valley, California. Radiello samplers allow for high diffusivity/effective flow rates, while also allowing for a sensitive gas chromatography/ mass spectrometer detector (GC/MS) thermal
desorption analysis. Radiello samplers may yield reporting limits of 3 parts per billion (ppb) compliant with ASHRAE Particulate and Gaseous Contamination Guidelines for Data Centers:
- ANSI/ISA-71.04-1985 severity level G1
   - A copper reactivity rate of less than 300°C/month
   - A silver reactivity rate of less than 300°C/ month

Features and Benefits of passive diffusive sampling:
• No pump needed, compact, portable and inexpensive
• Can sample large volume of air in a relatively short time period
• Offers indication of average pollution levels over time periods of weeks to months
• Can be used in hazardous environments.
